I make my tinctures from shiitake mushrooms that I grow myself. I grow without chemicals or pesticides and harvest at optimal maturity.
Some of the medicinal compounds of shiitake mushrooms need to be extracted using alcohol, and some need to be extracted using water. Both alcohol and water extractions were used to make this tincture, making it a double extraction tincture that contains both the alcohol-soluble and water-soluble medicinal properties of shiitake mushrooms. It was made with spring water and grain alcohol and contains approximately 25% alcohol.
