Wild carrot, or Queen Anne's Lace, is a member of the carrot family whose beautiful lacy white flowers can be seen along roadsides and in meadows throughout the United States. It is known as an abortifacient, or a "natural morning after pill." Its seeds are believed to contain a potent antifertility agent, and for centuries, women have used them as a natural contraceptive. The oils within wild carrot seeds are said to irritate the uterine lining, thus disrupting the implantation process of a potentially fertilized egg.
This alcohol extraction tincture was made with the seed-containing dried tops of wild carrot (Daucus carota) that I harvest myself here in northern Vermont. It was made with grain alcohol and contains approximately 50% alcohol.
Dosing schedule suggestions included with order. This tincture is not 100% effective in preventing pregnancy. It is meant to be used in conjunction with other contraceptives. DO NOT USE THIS AS YOUR ONLY FORM OF BIRTH CONTROL.
